Face Mount I-Joist Hanger

The IUS is an innovative hanger with “Snap-in” technology, which combines the advantages of a face mount hanger with the ease-of-installation of the top flange hanger.

The new design allows the sub-floor to attach flush to the header, which reduces gaps, bumps and squeaks.

FEATURES:
  • Installation is SNAP-IN, no more joist nails!
  • The “Snap-In” teardrops near the seat allow the hanger to “snap” in and keep the bottom flange secure. the hanger has a rated uplift of 0.33 kN without joist nails.
  • The locator tabs quickly set the hanger to the correct depth. For other depths, simply bend the tabs back.
  • Funnel flanges guide the joist to ease installation.
  • The starburst in the seat holds the joist in the centre of the hanger.
  • The embossed seat adds strength and stiffness. Less movement means fewer squeaks.
  • Speed prongs hold the hanger in place until nailed off.

MATERIAL:

1.2mm pre-galvanised mild steel.

INSTALLATION:

Fill all round holes with 3.75 x 75mm galvanized round wire nails.

OPTIONS:

Download: Where applicable, use the extra triangle holes on the face to get additional download capacity. (Not all models have additional download capacity).

Uplift: Use the two extra triangle holes on the joist flange to get extra uplift capacity.
