Award Winning Quik Drive Wows at Fasteners Fair
September 18, 2019
Last week we spent two action-packed days at the UK Fastener Exhibition and Conference (11th & 12th September) at the National Exhibition Centre, showcasing our Quik Drive collated screw system.
The team, led by National Quik Drive Manager Phil Chambers, manned the busy stand, where visitors were keen to test out Quik Drive’s efficient performance for themselves.
Quik Drive auto-feed screw driving system is a significantly faster way to install screws. With a wide range of fittings there’s a kit to suit every app from sub-flooring, underlayment and mezzanine flooring to plasterboard, cement-board and drywall, fire protection and modular and container conversions.
Compatible with most leading drill brands, the Quik Drive range includes a variety of attachments, some with specific functions, and others more versatile with a wider range of screws.
The kit is simple to assemble and reliable, and the ergonomic extension pole prevents crouching and stretching, for fast, precise, and consistent fastening.
When he wasn’t test driving Quik Drive on our stand, our UK Fastener Product Manager Jon Blunt presented an engaging overview of our Quik Drive systems, and provided an exclusive preview of two new Quik Drive screws in the pipeline for 2020.
Jon says “After receiving contact from floor fitters requesting an alternative to longer floor screws, which can cause problems hitting under floor pipes and wires, we have developed our new MTHZ19E 19mm underlayment to timber screw to solve this problem.
We’re on schedule to release the MTHZ19E to market in 2020, along with our brand new truck bed screw system.”
The icing on the cake was being presented with the Best Product Innovation Award 2019 by the exhibition organisers.
Speaking after the exhibition, Phil said “We are very proud to have won the fastener innovation product award when we were up against strong competition.
Quik Drive was so well received. When we explained the many solutions available to fit customer needs people saw for themselves the extensive benefits of Quik Drive.
It’s fast, reliable and ergonomic, and the collated strips and packaging are fully recyclable. It really is a perfect alternative to traditional nailing and screwing.”
The winner of our ‘guess the number of screws in the jar’ competition to win a Quik Drive system will be announced on Friday 27th September.
If you're interested in finding out more, we will also be exhibiting at the Ricoh Arena in Coventry on 24th & 25th September.
