The BTS  wall ties are used to restrain external brickwork back to timber frame building structures.
The BTS offers an outstanding combination of performance and cost in a wall tie for use with timber frame.

Allows up to 24mm of differential movement.

BTS Installed with 3.35x50mm Stainless steel annular ring shank nail (supplied with tie)

Performance is based upon nailing through 11m OSB sheathing into C24 studwork

1. Position the tie onto fresh mortar during construction of outer leaf of blockwork

2. Tie should be nailed through the OSB (using fastener provided), with care taken to position the tie inline wth the timber frame studs

Tie Spacings

Timber frame masonry wall ties should be evenly distrbuted, typically at a density of 4.4 ties/m2 (600mm horizontal x 3.75mm vertical). However in more severe locations the tie density should be increased to 7 ties/m2 (600mm horizontal x 225mm vertical)
